I did this Halloween animatronic many years ago when my kids were young and it was a lot of fun so it seemed a natural for AggressiveFun. The old build is long gone so this is a brand new unit with a brand new creature and electronics. The original plans are from the Grave Jumper II on the Phantasmechanics web site (http://www.phantasmechanics.com/jumper.html). I made some major changes but the door return actuator and basic mechanical structure are the same. I was under the gun to get this done before trick or treaters so it was started and finished in one day on Halloween. Very simple construction so it is a great DIY/Maker project for just about anyone. Great family project!
The system uses an air compressor and pneumatic valve with maximum pressure set at 40psi so care should be taken to always be safe with the pneumatics and the possible power available in the system.
